WelcomeSwindon Tennis ClubSwindon Tennis Club is based at St Marks Recereation Ground in Swindon. The club originated from the former GWR Tennis Club which had run Tennis teams and competitions since the 1930's. Swindon Community Tennis Club moved from the Delta Tennis Centre in April 2010 and is working in Partnership with Swindon Borough Council and the LTA to improve the provision of tennis and the facilities at St Mark's Recreation Ground including new Flood Lights and a new Club House. We aim to provide affordable and accessible tennis for all with good off court facilities and a friendly welcoming atmosphere. The current membership stands at 80 (70 adults and 10 juniors). The 2010 season saw two of our teams promoted, with one winning their league titles in the Swindon District League. In December 2008 Swindon Tennis Club achieved Tennis Clubmark accreditation - one of just six clubs in Wiltshire. Articles

Latest Club News - February 2012Coming soon...We will soon be announcing a number of dates and details for upcoming events including the AGM, SCTC Open Weekend, the Club Tournament and a Social Night! An email will be going out to all members and details will be posted here on the website as well as the notice board at St Marks. Winter League UpdateOur Winter League teams are continuing their impressive form into 2012 with both the A and B teams battling it out at the top of Divisions 1 and 2. In Division 1 the A Team currently lie second behind Ramsbury A with a game in hand whilst the B Team maintains their top position with a crucial 3 point lead of Ramsbury B. The C Team are currently sitting 5th in Division 4 and with only a couple of games left, they will be looking for a strong finish to the season in order to maintain their place in the division. All home matches are played on Sundays at 11am or 1.30pm so why not come along and support your teams. Hopefully there's some warm sunny weather on the way! The SCTC family keeps on growing!Back in November Graham and Lil happily announced that they are expecting a baby girl. The question is, will she follow in her father's footsteps and become a future SCTC Club Champion?! Matt and Hannah are also delighted to be welcoming a new baby this year but have decided to keep us in the suspense on whether they will be having a boy or girl. Start taking bets... This will be the first child for both couples so be sure to pass on any word of wisdom (or warning!) when you see them. It seems the Christmas spirit also worked its magic on James who finally plucked up the courage to ask Gemma to marry him, and much to everyone's relief she said yes!
